Visitors must present a valid photo ID issued by a local, state, or federal agency, and undergo a warrant check.

All children under age 16 are to be escorted by an adult at all times including the vistation area and the grounds of the LEC.

Only three adult visitors per inmate are allowed inside the visitation room, with no more than three children visitors. Only one Adult, who is on the inmate’s visitation list, with up to three children may visit the inmate at a time. Children visitors shall be accompanied by an adult who is on the inmate’s visitation list any time they visit with an inmate. (Children are considered anyone under 16)

Visitation Rules

Visitors must be on the inmate's Visitation List. Any inmate incarcerated for 30 days or longer shall [Missing]. If an inmate who has been incarcerated for 30 days or longer does not complete a visitation List, the inmate shall not have the oportunity to complete a new visitation list until the first of the month
Visitors cannot have been in our jail within the last 60 days
Visitors may be subject to search.
Visitors must be properly dressed. No shorts, hats, sunglasses; No sleeveless shirts or dresses; No spandex pants, shorts, shirts, or other form fitting clothing. Skirts must be at knee level; No low cut backless or transparent shirts.
No hand carried items (cameras, cell phones, pagers, video cameras, bags, purses, etc.)
No cigarettes, cigars, lighters, or matches allowed in the building
No open drink containers or food allowed inside the building

The Nacogdoches County Jail is not responsible for any lost or stolen items

Anyone found in possession of the above listed items shall have their visit terminated and asked to leave the grounds of the LEC.

Inmates incarcerated at the Nacogdoches County Jail will be eligible for visitation within 48 hours of incarceration unless the inmate has not been cleared for medical reasons.

Inmate Money Fund

Money Orders will be accepted the window of this facility.
During your stay in jail, all commissary transactions, medical charges and phone card charges will be deducted from your account.
If you are sent directly to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Institutional Division, or to another agency the balance of money in your fund will be released to that agency.

Inmate Mail & Correspondence

Feel free to write to anyone as frequently as you desire, as long as your letters comply with the regulations set by the U.S. Postal Service. In order to send your letters, please adhere to the following guidelines:

Show your full name (the name by which they were booked into this facility), SO Number, and address of the mail facility in the upper left corner of the envelope.
show the name and complete address of the person you are writing, and place the envelope for pick up in the morning when breakfast trays are picked up. In the dorm(s) you will give it to the dorm officer.
The only envelopes you may seal are those addressed to officials of the Federal officials and officers, including the President of the United States; State officials and officers, including the Governor; bona fide news media and your attorney(s). All such outgoing mail which you seal must be noted by your on the envelope “LEGAL MAIL” (if sent to a court official or your attorney), “PRIVILEGED MAIL” (if sent to a Federal or State Official or bona fide news media).
All outgoing mail which is not marked “privileged” or “legal” will be inspected for contraband and is subject to rejection for inflammatory writings, hard core pornography, information regarding escape plans or the manufacture of explosives, weapons, or drugs, solicits the breakdown of jail through inmate disruption, or is detrimental to inmates rehabilitation because it would encourage deviate criminal sexual behavior.
Any mail rejected for a reason specified above will be placed in the property box of the inmate who sent it, and may serve as the basis for disciplinary action.

Inmates may contact you from the phones or kiosks located in their dorm. There is only 1 kiosk and 1 phone in the 8 person dorms and two in the 24 person dorms. These are shared among the inmates.

Calling

Calls can be either pre-paid, out of the inmates money fund, or collect, billing the recipient of the call.
Pre-paid phone time can be ordered via commissary or added by a friend or family member.
Phones may be disabled at night time, during lunch, as disciplinary action, or during visitation or other events.

Texting & Email

Inmates can send and receive texts and email from the kiosk
You will need to approve the text or email before further messages will be sent to you, which requires adding funds into your account if not already done so.
